Frequently Asked Questions

Can I schedule a school visit/tour?

Yes, we do offer tours and visits to see our space as well as see what our daily procedures look like. Tours must be scheduled in advance and arranged with the Dean of Schools (Just go to the "Contact Us" page). We also offer social events that allow you to meet the staff, ask questions, tour the space, and get additional information. Keep an eye out for those dates on our social media pages and the "Events and Donations" page on our website.

What is your school calendar?

PPA is a year round program. We offer services and schooling 12 months of the year. We closely follow the Springfield Public Schools calendar, BUT NOT EXACTLY. We do this to assist families with multiple children that attend SPS. Our calendar is available under the "Academics" page.

How much is school tuition?

School tuition varies based on therapy billing, scholarships and financial aide funding for that school year. If a family were to forego all of the above options the Self-Pay rate is $1,430/month. Over 45% of our student population is served by our financial aid and scholarship programs.
Every student is eligible for financial aide. PPA does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations including financial aide and admission.

How long is the wait list and how long will it take for my child to be enrolled?

When a family fills out an application, it is submitted and timestamped by our computer system. It is a first-come, first-serve system, but we must take several variables into account when accepting a new student. Some of these items include, but are not limited to:
-50/50 Inclusion Model
-Student's differing ability or IEP
-If a student is required a one-to-one support
-Student class sizes of 12 or less
-Maintaining a 4:1 ratio or less
